Ambientada en el competitivo mundo del tenis profesional, en el que una exjugadora convertida en entrenadora, Tashi, ha conseguido transformar a su marido Art en campeón de varios torneos del Grand Slam. Tras una racha de derrotas, Tashi le inscribe en un torneo ‘Challenger’ -el torneo profesional de menor nivel-, en el que se reencuentra con Patrick, su antiguo mejor amigo y exnovio de Tashi.
