La joven Marie es invitada a pasar unos días en la casa de los padres de su mejor amiga, una granja aislada y rodeada de campos de maiz. Las dos chicas piensan que allí encontrarán la tranquilidad necesaria para estudiar. Pero sus esperanzas son vanas.
